BARCELONA, Spain -- Digital Centre reports that it has completed its move into a larger manufacturing facility. The modern new plant permits the company to produce as many as 500 photobooths per month, and to turn out three different models at the same time.

Besides supporting concurrent production lines, the larger plant comfortably accommodates graphic design and development, information technology, administrative and marketing departments. It also devotes 10,000 sq. ft. to modern offices. It is surrounded by a fenced-in area with parking for 40 cars as well as truck paths to the warehouses and a capacious covered loading area that allows the manufacturer to load five 40-ft. containers simultaneously.

Digital Centre is one of the world's foremost producers of photobooths, including both coin-operated types for leisure and amusement locations and streamlined models for event rental. While DC produces a variety of space-saving models, the company points out that photobooths in general are bulky products. The lack of manufacturing space is limiting when orders arrive in the midst of ramping up production for a whole new range of LED VideoWall products, the company pointed out. The new facility, however, provides sufficient space for every manufacturing need.

A focal point of the enlarged facility's layout is the product design area, where new models take their final form as market-ready products, new devices are conceived and engineered, the latest hardware is assembled and LED technologies are tested and improved. DC explained that this area is organized to minimize constraints on creativity. DC is proud of its record of disruption – "in two years, we've released seven new products," the company pointed out. When the designers complete their internal tests, new models are supplied to third parties for further testing.

Moreover, DC added, productive business-to-business investments require detailed, well-informed decisions. To assist in that process, the factory maintains a 1,000-sq.ft. showroom in which visitors can study and test the latest developments.

Refreshing breaks are important to keeping a workforce productive, and DC kept this in mind when designing its new factory. The facility includes a gameroom with appropriate furnishings as well as pool and foosball tables. Exterior amenities include a 1,500-sq.ft. picnic area with naturally shaded tables and a barbecue grill.

Founded in 1997 with a focus on design and manufacture of first-class photobooths at affordable prices, Digital Centre has grown into a multinational company with facilities in the United States and Europe, with a steady eye on Asia. The firm designs, develops, manufactures, certifies, markets and supports innovative photobooths for clients around the world.
