MISSISSAUGA, ON, Canada -- Cummins Allison is now markeing its JetScan iFX i400 multi-pocket document sorter for the Canadian market. The new machine, introduced a year ago, can be configured for three to nine pockets in the same compact footprint. | SEE STORY

According to the manufacturer, the new sorter makes use of breakthrough imaging technology to provide outstanding read rates, allowing notes to be processed at speeds of up to 1,000 per minute.

Designed for flexibility, the iFX i400 optimizes user configurability. The base unit provides three pockets; add-on two-pocket modules can be added to create five, seven and nine-pocket systems whenever the user needs to accommodate more denominations. The novel vertical design makes possible a high-volume multi-pocket sorter that occupies little more space than a conventional desktop sorter.

This flexibility extends from the pocket configuration to user-customizable operating software that can accommodate varying workflows or different processing operations. Operating modes or pocket configurations can be changed with the touch of a button, using an intuitive touch-screen display.

"This really opens up the possibilities where space is a premium in any number of applications," said Harry Patrinos, Canadian managing director for Cummins Allison. "Even those who might process moderate amounts of cash such as retailers, vending companies and transit firms can gain high-speed productivity in a small space at an affordable price."

The JetScan iFX i400 is part of a family of JetScan iFX products engineered to deliver efficiency throughout a facility. Advanced counterfeit detection, the ability to capture serial numbers from every note for tracking, and check-and-currency processing are all available within the JetScan iFX product offering.

Headquartered in Mt. Prospect, IL, 125-year-old Cummins Allison holds more than 350 U.S. patents, and has a sales and service network of more than 50 offices in North America.
