NORWOOD, MA -- Crane Merchandising Systems has released new features and enhancements for its Streamware vending management system, VendMax.

Among the enhancements is support for two-tiered pricing accountability in financial reports. The company pointed out that the effect on the machine's collection of selling an item at different prices for cash or cashless payments typically has not been reflected in reports generated by a vending management system. The new VendMax update enables operators to account for cashless sales, automatically and accurately, in tax, commission and other revenue reports.

Also new is two-way integration with the online ordering capability provided by OCS Access (Denville, NJ). As an operator's coffee service customer enters an order through OCS Access, a corresponding order is generated automatically in Streamware's DeliveryMax for route driver fulfillment. Crane pointed out that this eliminates the need for manual order entry and ensures the integrity of the information.

Two enhancements have been added to Streamware's sales tax management and reporting capabilities. VendMax users now can define sales tax on the basis of a minimum taxable price, as required in multiple states. And operators in New York now can obtain both taxable and nontaxable sales information required by new state tax reporting requirements.

Also included in the update are several new features designed to help users of VendMax and DeliveryMax to further improve efficiency. Users now are able easily to create "recurring" service calls so that they are scheduled automatically. Operators also can generate "automatic" truckloads for delivery, based on previous purchase history. This will save time and resources, Crane said.

DeliveryMax users also can specify different rental billing-periods according to the specific customer arrangement; and can automate the frequency of periodic statements mailed to clients.

With the exception of the OCS Access integration, all these updates are included in the annual maintenance service of Streamware's VendMax, DeliveryMax and FoodMax, and are provided at no additional cost to customers with active support plans.
