WILLISTON, SC -- Crane Merchandising Systems, a Crane Co. company, and Hershey Co. are advertising award nominees for a Kit Kat campaign running on Crane's Media  vending machines.

MediaPost, an online publishing resource advertising media professionals, announced the nominations for the 2017 Digital Out of Home Awards in two categories: Venue Based and Marketing Sector. The 12-week Kit Kat campaign reportedly drove more than three million brand engagements and a double-digit sales lift across all targeted venues. The awards will be announced at a ceremony in New York City on Nov. 1 during the Digital Place Based Advertising Association Video Everywhere Summit.

"These nominations, the first for Media machine ads, serve as an important recognition that digital advertising for unattended retail has arrived," said Crane Media Network vice-president Sharon Peyer. "The quality and stature of our competitors in these award categories is quite impressive. Being nominated along with them demonstrates how far our advertising network has come in a very short time."

Crane's Media Network manages advertising campaigns over the air, helping vending operators and brands grow consumer engagement and sales. The network has reportedly grown over the past two years, having delivered 10 billion impressions across more than 12,000 screens nationwide. Brand clients to date include Hershey Co., General Mills Inc., Mars Inc., Mastercard, Mondelez Inc. and Kellogg Co.
