Vending, EDine App, Compass Group CHARLOTTE, NC -- A new onsite corporate dining app is designed to reach nonusers, enhance the customer experience and drive sales during nontraditional dayparts. EDine from Eurest targets millennials, offering gaming, frequency rewards, news feed, push notifications, and a "refer a coworker" feature.

Eurest is a division of Charlotte, NC-based Compass Group North America, which provides dining and vending services throughout the U.S. and serves more than 705,000 customers daily.

"We developed the eDine app to connect with our guests in an easy, convenient, fun and rewarding manner as well as provide targeted communication to promotions and events in the café," said Eurest marketing vice-president Lisa Lahiji. "Clients like that we have listened to our customers and developed a strategy to reach nonusers and make our current users' experience even better."

Customers at any of the 1,400 Eurest locations may join in on the app. One of the first locations to adopt the app is a technology-focused company in San Diego, Lahiji reported. Since its inception six months ago, the user-base has grown significantly month over month, with its first month showing 43% user growth and at least 15% growth each consecutive month.

According to Eurest, millennials represent 22% to 24% of restaurant spending today, and by 2020 that figure is expected to be upwards of 40%. Thus, understanding what attracts millennials to dine in onsite cafés and how to communicate with them is essential to its success.
