SAYREVILLE, NJ -- Coast to Coast Entertainment said it is adding tokens to its line of amusement industry products. The company's Gary Balaban reports that the popular 0.984" diameter brass-colored token is the first available format, and will be followed soon by the 0.9" diameter, the next most popular size. The new tokens will be 100% compatible with operators' existing tokens, he said.

In addition to these standard tokens, Coast to Coast plans to offer custom designs. Customers can add their choice of text and graphics to both sides of the token, and the company reports that it is able to duplicate clients' existing custom tokens.

Tokens, coin-like objects used in place of currency, are the earliest form of cashless vending. They are still widely used in arcades, car washes, laundromats and other locations using unattended POS equipment.

Coast to Coast's token production facility has been conducting trials for three years, and the company has instituted stringent tests for metal content and quality. Laboratory results are available that list the details of the tokens' composition to confirm their safety.

Coast to Coast added redemption tickets to its line several years ago. That offering has proven successful and persuaded the company that a token line is a natural next step. After conducting comparisons, it has priced the new line of tokens at about 25% below the current market. "We love to save our customers money and it's our goal to help them save and bring more profit to the bottom line," Balaban observed.

Information on the new token program, and attractive opening order specials, are available from the company, as are samples at no charge. For information, call (800) 224-1717: Emile (ext. 721), Jim Chapman (ext. 726) and Gary Balaban (ext. 714).
