China Vending Show Organizers Hail 2019 Success, Ready 2020 Event

SHANGHAI, China - The 16th China International Self-service, Kiosk and Vending Show (CVS) , held concurrently with the Shanghai International Smart Retail Show (SRS), concluded in "massive success" on April 27, the event's organizers report. As one of the core events of the "Hotel Plus" series of exhibitions staged by Sinoexpo Informa Markets, this year's CVS and SRS attained an exhibit area of 25,000 sq.m. (269,100 sq.ft.), and attracted 19,262 visitors from 87 countries and regions -- 33% higher than 2018's attendance.

CVS has grown steadily over 16 years and has earned a high reputation in the self-service and smart retail industry at home and abroad. Its exhibits include vending machines, parts and components, kiosk and other self-service solutions, smart retailing stores, application technology and overall solutions, and products and supply chain services. At this year's show, new technologies were showcased including face recognition, pulse recognition and smart medical treatment. Well-known corporate brands were on display, including WeChat Pay, Fuji Bingshan, Baixue, Aucma, SNBC, DeepBlue and Midea, offering visitors a multi-dimension and "zero distance" experience.

In addition to those physical exhibits, the themed conference China (Shanghai) Unmanned Business 2019 assembled nearly 50 experts from manned and unmanned retail markets to discuss the new opportunities and challenges presented by the unattended (or "unmanned") commercial economy. The conference promoted the eco-development of unmanned business, and accelerated the deep integration of conventional and unattended retail.

CVS2019 was also linked to a series of exhibitions such as Expo Clean for Commercial Properties and Hotels (CCE), Expo for International Indoor Air Purification (CIEQ) and Expo for International Facility Management (CFME). All these exhibitions are parts of Hotel Plus series exhibitions organized and coordinated by Informa Markets Sinoexpo with the aim of providing a complete supply chain that addresses profitable deployment in all commercial spaces.

With CVS 2019 concluded, the CVS organizers are preparing for their nationwide four-place exhibition tours that will encourage enterprises to explore and penetrate the local market in China. Moreover, CVS will continue to summarize market information, segment target markets and open new sections in the industry. Traversing this fast-evolving industry upstream and downstream, CVS and SRS 2020 will start from existing self-service technology to delineate the future business model.

The China International Self-service, Kiosk and Vending Show aims to support start-up and new business, to act on opportunities for partnerships, and to move forward in innovation and development. It is dedicated to furnishing frontline information for industry experts and leaders at home and abroad, and to exploring industry trends.

"CVS and SRS just set their sails to start the voyage into 2020 with a smart new appearance," the organizers concluded. They plan to bring back more developed smart technologies and applications to meet the increasingly intelligent marketplace of the future.

Next year's China International Self-service, Kiosk and Vending Show will be held from April 27 through 29 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
