Doug Skor, Chicago Gaming Co. CHICAGO -- Chicago Gaming Co. reports that industry veteran Doug Skor has joined its management team as vice-president of business development. The move comes as the company is rolling out its new Vegas Royale video gaming terminal, designed specifically for the Illinois market.

Skor brings more than three decades of coin-op experience to his new post, including service with EDC ATM llc, Wurlitzer Jukebox and Vending (now a unit of Gibson Guitar) and pioneering Chicagoland music and games sales agency World Wide Distributors Inc.

At Chicago Gaming, Skor initially will focus on the sales and marketing of Vegas Royale, working with Illinois licensed terminal operators to explain the new concept's value, based on cashbox revenue and initial and long-term investment. He will have access to a toolbox of financing options to facilitate local operators' entry into the new market. Going forward, Skor will take part in Chicago Gaming's new product development and the expansion of its business opportunities in additional gaming jurisdictions.

Chicago Gaming, established in 1981, has a solid track record of developing and marketing amusement equipment, notably its versatile multi-game Arcade Legend. In 2010, the company committed to developing video gaming terminals for Illinois, which a year earlier had enacted a law permitting the operation of authorized and licensed devices of this kind. The state's regulatory network went live a year ago.

Chicago Gaming, which was licensed in its first Illinois jurisdiction in 2011, received approval of its new Vegas Royale terminal for the Illinois market this year.

"My passion has always been in the arena of product and market development," Skor said. "I look forward to educating operators about sensible equipment purchasing options to augment their current buying habits."
