Canadian National Vending Alliance, PayRange, vending machine, mobile payments PORTLAND, OR -- The Canadian National Vending Alliance, a coalition of some of the largest vending operators in Canada, has reportedly partnered with PayRange to enable mobile payments on all of its vending machines.

CNVA is made up of nine of the largest independent vending companies in Canada, with a national network of subcontractors. Two CNVA operators conducted a pilot that prompted a rapid deployment program. CNVA plans to have 80% of the machines PayRange-enabled in six months.

Vending machines equipped with PayRange's BluKey "dongle," which installs in seconds, enable customers with phones running the PayRange app to make cashless purchases. The app can be funded with credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay, coupons and payroll deductions. The machines require no wireless network connection.

"With more people becoming increasingly cashless, we realized we needed a mobile payment solution to bring to all our machines," said CNVA president Steve Tremblay. "With the PayRange platform, we're able to provide consumers with greater choices, not only in how to pay, but also in what they can purchase from the machines as they are no longer constrained by the change in their pockets."
