BOSTON -- Botkeeper is offering its automated bookkeeping solution to the vending industry.

Botkeeper automates bookkeeping tasks through a blend of dedicated machine learning, artificial intelligence and human assistance. The service can securely access a business’ financial information (e.g., banks, credit cards and accounting software) to make entries, track and schedule revenue and deferred expenses, account for payroll, reconcile bank accounts, send invoices and more.

Botkeeper says its service offers cost savings up to 50% compared to traditional alternatives, 99.97% accuracy, and customizable dashboards and reporting that provide companywide business intelligence. As a vending company grows, Botkeeper scales with it.

Serving the vending industry comes naturally to Botkeeper founder and chief executive Enrico Palmerino. As a child entrepreneur, he set-up gumball machines in storefronts in and around his western Massachusetts hometown. To this day, he retains several of the original gumball machines along with others in the Bay State.

“Starting at about 10 years old, I set-up my first gumball machine and began living the nightmare of manual bookkeeping,” Palmerino recalled. “In fact, I remember one business owner kind enough to let me place a machine near his cash register noting to me, ‘Of course, you’ll have to pay taxes on all of those quarters.’ It’s nice to be able to give back to the industry that gave me my start.”

Botkeeper offers a range of pricing plans based on the number of monthly transactions completed. The plans include the “Botkeeper Free” package, a cost-free offering, which includes up to 20 monthly revenue and expense transactions.
