CARLSTADT, NJ -- Betson Enterprises reports that it will supply Halo: Fireteam Raven for a traveling Halo theme park that will be presented in seven convention centers around the country this summer. The Microsoft attraction, called "Halo: Outpost Discovery," is designed to give Halo fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Halo universe.

The Halo: Fireteam Raven two-player arcade version is based on the events of the original Halo: Combat Evolved storyline, but viewed from the perspective of the ODST soldiers (orbital drop shock troops) of Fireteam Raven. The team has landed to fight on the surface of Alpha Halo to defend the Halo ringworld against conquest by the alien Covenant alliance.

Players can make use of the Halo universe's full arsenal of weapons while enjoying the cutting-edge 4K graphics on Play Mechanix' NexaGen arcade game engine. A 55" panoramic screen display sets the stage for Fireteam Raven to transport players into the Halo universe.

Betson unveiled Halo: Fireteam Raven at its Specialty Coin Northwestern Amusement Showcase last fall.

According to Betson, Halo: Fireteam Raven has been a tremendous success since its official launch last year in family entertainment centers across the country.

Engadget (Feb. 5, 2019), reporting on the planned theme park tour, explained that Microsoft's Outpost Discovery is scheduled to run for a single weekend in each of five cities: Orlando, FL, July 5 through 7;  Philadelphia, PA, July 19 through 21; Chicago, IL, Aug. 2 through 4; Houston, TX, Aug. 16 through 18, and Anaheim, CA, Aug. 30 through Sept. 1. Engadget added that the pop-up theme parks will offer a dome-projection experience featuring the Halo Ring. The event will be enhanced by a lasertag arena, escape room, virtual reality and simulation stations providing Halo experiences, plus panel discussions for fans. Tickets are available on the official Halo: Outpost Discovery site.

Licensed by Microsoft, Halo: Fireteam Raven was crafted by Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix in a unique partnership with Microsoft Studio's 343 Industries.
