CARLSTADT, NJ -- Betson Enterprises, Automated Services International and Choice Equipment Sales are expanding their used vending machine sales agreement to the southeastern U.S.

The companies inked their original pact in September, agreeing to market used and reconditioned vending machines to operators and locations in the Northeast. Betson was granted sole sales and marketing rights in its six mid-Atlantic and northeast branches. | SEE STORY

Based on the success of the first four months of the alliance, the companies said they have added Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee to the area covered by the agreement. CES, based in Charlotte, NC, will maintain responsibility for sourcing raw product and refurbishing machines, and will continue to work directly with its customers, with support from Betson branches in Marietta, GA, and a new facility scheduled to open in Florida. | SEE NEWS RELEASE

ASI will continue to be responsible for working with Betson personnel to drive sales throughout the region, and for coordinating all related support programs.

"We are delighted that [ASI and CES] have agreed to expand the territory to include a big piece of the 'backyard' that they have been developing for more than 20 years," said Steven Betti, president of Betson Imperial Parts and Service. "We think it says a lot about the value that all sides bring to the proposition, and we're looking forward to aggressively expanding the products and services provided by our Marietta, GA, and Florida offices."

ASI president Joe Loparco hinted that his company and Betson will further expand the alliance. "There are still four more [Betson] offices to work into the program," he said.

Betson, a leading distributor of coin-operated amusement and vending equipment, parts and service, is headquartered in Carlstadt, NJ, and runs 11 distribution offices nationwide.
