MINNEAPOLIS -- Best Vendors has selected InOne Technology (Hunt Valley, MD) as its exclusive supplier for the provision of remote data collection (RDC) and other products for Best Vendors' national network of client vending operators.

Best Vendors, a national leader in vending management services, assists in the placement and operation of vending machines in locations across the United States.

Under the pact, Best Vendors operators are eligible for discounted pricing for purchases of inOne Technology's Easy 1 DEX retrofit kits, as well as DEXmate vending machine controllers for use in equipment installed in their accounts.

According to Best Vendors president Tony McDonald, "Best Vendors is very excited about this contract with inOne Technology. We believe it is a win-win for our customers -- our operators -- and should provide a huge momentum boost to the industry, providing vital technology and very affordable prices."

Best Vendors finance vice-president Tim Kuehn and information technology director Chris Lilly agreed that "inOne Technology's experience in DEX, in remote monitoring and software, and their history of commitment to remote data collection is unprecedented. It really was an easy decision for us."

They added that inOne Technology won the preferred contract from Best Vendors in competition with three other suppliers: Canteloupe Systems, ProTel and USA Technologies. The contract sets industry best pricing for wireless equipment, and remote monitoring fees for all Best Vendors operators.

"Our remote monitoring experience over the last four years has proven that we can save vending operators up to 50% in route operations," said Gene Ostendorf, president of inOne Technology. "For the first time in our industry, best Vendors operators will be able to purchase wireless remote monitoring products for an average of less than $100 per machine, assuming three or more machines per bank of equipment. Coupled with the extremely low monthly monitoring fee and unique dynamic-scheduling inOne Technology tools, RDC yields a terrific ROI. This is a very exciting time for the industry."

Ostendorf added, "inOne Technology is the industry leader in DEX and remote data collection systems. These systems enable operators to minimize investment in equipment, simplify installation, optimize alarms, and generate dependable sales information from their vending machines."

inOne Technology has sold more than 150,000 of its patented Easy 1 DEX retrofit kits for use in a wide variety of non-DEX-capable vending machines. The company also provides replacement control boards for popular legacy snack machines -- the DEXmate VMC -- that update the machines with 2006 features, including DEX, dual MDB and Micromech mix-and-match interfacing, Checkmate vend sensing technology, dual UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitters) for better support of remote data collection, and a range of other features.

inOne Technology has been providing leading-edge technology solutions, service and support to the vending industry since 1980. Its client list includes some of the largest, and most successful and innovative operators in the industry. The company has assisted with the definition and use of DEX within the vending industry, and DEX education, for over a decade.
