HYPOLUXO, FL -- Benchmark Games International reports that it is now shipping Space Jump. The new redemption game was introduced at the recent International Association of Parks and Attractions expo in Orlando, FL. It made its European debut at EAG and VAE in London, England, where Benchmark exhibited in the booth of its UK distributor, the United Distributing Co. (London).

Space Jump, the latest addition to Benchmark's product line, is described as a 100% skill-based game that involves both interactivity and physical play. Players ("Cadets") take control of a rocketship. They bounce on a "launch pad" to initiate play and control their jumps to navigate the rocket. They complete the mission if they land in the bonus zone (or planetary ticket values) after a 20- second voyage.
The machine features a "stratospheric" centerpiece design in a cabinet with a modest footprint. Benchmark noted that these features make it an ideal attraction piece for any size gameroom, and it also is value-priced.

Space Jump incorporates a new 13" monitor to illustrates game play, an intense LED illumination package and brightly-lit scoring zones. An audio system enhanced by subwoofers helps create an immersive play experience with interactive sounds and player prompts.

Designed with operators in mind, Space Jump is easily maintained: there are no moving parts other than the rocket itself. The game uses reliable optoelectronics to sense and interpret the player's footwork; it's contained in a durable non-skid jump pad and fitted with and sturdy steel grip bars to withstand vigorous tactile play.

"The response to Space Jump at IAAPA has been wonderful," said Benchmark sales director Paula Rinker. "Operators are attracted to its unique presentation, attractive price tag and profitable physical-play formula. We have been testing Space Jump with local operators, and it is performing as 'Top 10' piece in the room.

"What sets Space Jump apart from other concepts is its interactive game play … and it is just plain fun," she continued. "It was evident at the show where, win or lose, I didn't see anyone of any age who wasn't smiling when they stepped off the jump [launch] pad."

Benchmark added that Space Jump has received rave reviews from industry bloggers and on social media, a response that substantiates the warmth of the game's reception by enthusiasts.

Benchmark chief operating officer Trevor Gianaris reported that "Our initial production run sold out at the show, and additional runs have been reserving fast. Space Jump is quickly becoming a customer favorite because players have fun, it attracts crowds with its competitive play, and earns well for the price."
