BROOMFIELD, CO -- The Billiard Congress of America will hold its 27th annual International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo at the Las Vegas Hilton and Las Vegas Convention Center from Wednesday, July 14, through Friday, July 16. The Billiard Congress reports that both exhibit space sales and visitor preregistration are running well ahead of last year's.

With a month and a half still to go, BCA said that advanced registration is up 18% over 2009 enrollment, and 22 new companies have joined the exhibitor roster. In celebration of this strong evidence of economic recovery, BCA is extending the deadline for free advanced registration to June 1.

"In a warming economy, both manufacturers and distributors have chosen the 2010 BCA Expo as a platform to launch new products and extend support for the home recreation industry," the organization explained. This trend is illustrated by the addition of 22 companies as first-time exhibitors.

Registration will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the convention center on Tuesday, July 13, and the annual BCA general membership meeting is set for 5 p.m. The exposition opens at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14; the official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10:55 a.m., and the show closes at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, July 15, a general session will explore "Our Industry, Our Responsibility, Our Future" from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Exhibits will reopen at 11 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.

Friday's agenda begins with a general session exploring "The Road to Success: Your Database" from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The exhibit hall will be open from 10 a.m., and the show wraps up at 3 p.m.

Three advanced marketing courses are available on a space-available basis to registered buyers who make advance reservations. This may be done online at BCA Expo Connect, accessible from BCA's website. The first, "Pool Room Think Tank," will run from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. on July 14; the second, Social Networking for Sales, is scheduled for July 15 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The final presentation, "No Pain, No Gain: Sharing Ideas," is slated for 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 16.

"The BCA Expo remains the gathering place for the industry to connect face to face," said BCA chief executive Rob Johnson. "This year will be more dynamic, with a great lineup of seminars, industry discussions and opportunities for folks to share ideas, progress and concerns with their peers.”

He observed that the rapid pace of retail and room operator registrations and the increase in returning and new exhibitors indicate an upbeat attitude within the home recreation industry.

First staged in 1983, the International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo serves as an annual forum for industry manufacturers, distributors, retailers, dealers and poolroom operators to explore new business opportunities and benefit from education, exposure to new products and networking.
