LONDON – Bandai Namco launched its first VR Zone site outside of Japan. The new virtual reality attraction is located in London's O2 Hollywood Bowl center. The VR experience offers three titles: Argyle Shift, Hospital Escape Terror and the Big Fear of Heights Experience.

According to company officials at Hollywood Bowl, the installation was launched as a part of Bandai Namco's global rollout of VR Zone Portal in flagship locations. "VR Zone Portal London at The O2 is a launchpad for bringing the fascinating world of virtual reality gaming to people on a larger and more accessible scale," said Steve Burns, chief executive of Hollywood Bowl Group. "We're excited to be at the forefront of this technology in the UK and can't wait to open this exclusive experience to the public."

There are no immediate plans to introduce VR Zone to the North American market.

Hollywood Bowl, a chain of cinema-themed bowling centers, is part of the Hollywood Bowl Group that operates 57 venues under the Hollywood Bowl, AMF Bowling and Bowlplex brands.  It's said to be the UK's largest 10-pin bowling operator.
