BIRMINGHAM, England -- For the sixth consecutive year, Azkoyen Group is a winner of Britain's 2018 Vending Industry Awards, better known as "The Vendies."

Azkoyen won the 2018 "Best Machine Innovation" award for its Novara protein drink vender, for its ability to deliver the precise combination of ingredients to deliver expertly prepared drinks consistently and immediately, making it a good fit for gyms and sports centers.

The British Vending Industry Awards, better known as the Vendies, were presented at a gala that took place on Oct. 2 at the Forest of Arden Hotels & Country Club in Birmingham, England. The Vendies are presented by the UK's Vending International magazine and the European Drinking Water Cooler Association.

The awards recognize the success and innovation of the companies and individuals in the UK's vending industry, and the winners are decided solely by the vote of trade members.

The recognition follows two awards presented to Azkoyen in September by Associated Vending Services Ltd, a consortium of independent machine operators. AVS awarded Azkoyen Best Machine Manufacturer and Best Table Top Vending Machine for its Vitro vender, which uses fresh milk to prepare authentic cappuccinos and lattes, among other specialty drinks.

Based in Navarra, Spain, Azkoyen manufactures vending machines and electronic payment, control and security solutions. It opened a U.S. office earlier last year, headquartered in Charlotte, NC.
