TUKWILA, WA -- Avanti Markets Inc. said its self-checkout technology can now integrate with Seed Markets, a micromarket management tool from Cantaloupe Systems, enabling operators to manage markets alongside vending and OCS operations. Avanti said that the integration will combine the reporting and logistics capabilities of each system into a cohesive experience for both operators and consumers, and make each method of operating more efficient.

Thanks to the integration, route drivers can now use Seed Mobile to service vending, OCS and Avanti micromarkets. This also makes it easier to add markets to vending or OCS routes. Additionally, route managers can schedule micromarkets dynamically, together with vending and OCS. They can also manage and centralize planograms for markets. Warehouse employees can simultaneously prekit Avanti micromarkets, vending and OCS on a one-pass prekit line, and get an integrated view of inventory movement and accountability.

With this integration, service managers can assign technicians to repair micromarket equipment in the same work queue as vending and OCS equipment. And financial executives can run cross-line P&Ls and operational reports that combine near-real-time data from vending, OCS and micromarkets.

Avanti Markets and Cantaloupe Systems are also partnering to provide a straightforward "on-boarding" process to facilitate the integration. The integration creates an upgrade path for Avanti operators who are not using Seed and wish to do so. It also benefits operators who do use Seed, but are running a micromarket other than Avanti.
