LAS VEGAS, NV — The organizers of the 2019 Amusement Expo International report that the next show will be the 10th in its new expanded format. AEI 2019 is slated for March 26 through 28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The first AEI was staged in 2010 when the Amusement and Music Operators Association and American Amusement Machine Association consolidated their annual events into a single convention and trade show.

This soon expanded with the participation of the National Bulk Vendors Association and the Laser Tag Operators Association.

In 2014, the show took on its present streamlined format, reserving the first day for educational programs organized by each of the sponsoring associations, with the following two days devoted to the combined exhibit. Last year, AEI added a separate track for virtual reality amusements and attractions, and this will be repeated in 2019.

The show's organizers report that AEI Conference 2019 education day will open with a keynote address by Kindra Hall of Steller Collective titled "The Irresistible Power of Strategic Storytelling." She is president and chief strategy officer at Steller Collective, a marketing agency focused on the strategic application of storytelling to today's communication challenges.

The dedicated education day will continue with 16 breakout sessions designed specifically for street operators and the owners and managers of family entertainment centers, and will include the new virtual reality track as well.

AEI education day will wrap up with a presentation by Tyler Bushnell, founder of Polycade, who will discuss key strategies for building recurring business by leveraging the nuances of the fast-growing millennial and "Gen Z" demographic cohorts.

A highlight of AEI 2019 will be the All-Industry Gala Reception, set for 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 in the Westgate Resort and Casino, adjacent to the Convention Center's North Hall 1, the site of the exhibition.

Westgate also will serve as the official housing partner in 2019, as it has for virtually all of the AEIs during the past 10 years. A special $95 nightly rate has been arranged for AEI showgoers (not including tax or resort fee).

Cosponsored by AAMA and AMOA, AEI is managed by W.T. Glasgow Inc. For information, contact show manager Brian Glasgow at (708) 226-1300 or B by emailing to
