AMS WideGem

KEARNEYSVILLE, WV -- New from Automated Merchandising Systems is WideGem, a full-size glassfront machine. It is designed to build on the success of SlimGem, AMS's first machine built with a non-insulated cabinet. Both offer a lower-cost solution to vending products that do not require refrigeration, and the company is presenting them as "the wide and narrow of non-insulated vending."

The new WideGem is 39" wide and 35" deep, in contrast to the SlimGem's 28.5" width and 29.5" depth. Both are 72" high and fit readily into existing vending banks.

"This is one of those cases where the idea comes from the customer," said AMS president Sharon Shull. "We have been enjoying considerable success with the SlimGem, and someone said, 'Great idea; so why not make a low-cost, full-size vender to go with the SlimGem?' We ran it past several of our customers, and they were all for it."

Both AMS Gem models are offered in a choice of black or gray styling, and feature curved edges around the door and keypad that impart a modern appearance. Like all AMS machines, they incorporate the company's patented Sensit guaranteed delivery system.

Founded in 1997, Automated Merchandising Systems manufacturers an extensive array of glassfront machines for dispensing snacks, fresh food and cold drinks, separately or in combination. The line includes the Outsider, a rugged machine designed for use outdoors or in hostile indoor environments, and the Glass-Front Deli, a refrigerated food vender that can accommodate today's large entrees and that is offered in eye-catching blue-and-white checkered finish.
