AMI Publishes 2010 Software Upgrade For Ion Consoles On MegaNet

BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network reports that a complete 2010 software release is now available for download to MegaNet-connected Ion equipment. Operators must be running the 2009.5 software to take advantage of one of several options for loading the new software down to their Ion game consoles.

Operators who are participating in the MegaNet Subscription/Entertainer business model receive the 2010 software package at no cost. Machines covered by this program already are opted-in, and will update automatically. And the download now updates the key, too, so there is no need to "key swap" or take any action on location.

The second option, for Standard and Core MegaNet business model subscribers, allows them to opt-in to download the update from the MegaNet operator site,

Opting-in is free for standard and core subscribers, but operators must purchase a 2010 Ion software kit from their local AMI distributor; a simple key swap is necessary to activate the update after the download is complete. Installation and settings transfer will occur without a visit to the location; the download status for each machine is always visible on the operator website, and a message is displayed when a machine is ready for the key swap.

The 2010 Megatouch software features Jackpot Corner, a challenge designed to compel players to rethink everything they know about puzzle games. Also highlighting the release are Megatouch versions of Web favorites Little Shop of Treasures and Text Twist 2: Lightning from GameHouse, along with Funkier Monkey, a modernized version of a classic favorite, and Philly's Hottest Photo Hunt, a breakout version of one of the most popular Megatouch games showcasing the feminine pulchritude to be found in the City of Brotherly Love.

Included in the new MegaNet software is an enhanced remote control feature that enables AMI technicians to observe and diagnose exactly what the operator sees on the console's display in real time. This component is designed to provide operators with the best and fastest technical support in the industry, AMI noted.

AMI Extends Megatouch Technical Support Hours

AMI Entertainment Network announced that it has extended technical support hours for operators of Megatouch games to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
