AMI Skins

BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network has introduced four more Smart Skin options for its NGX digital downloading jukebox. Smart Skins are modular frames that attach easily to the NGX cabinet, imparting a distinctive look that can be tailored to the specific tastes of the location. They are "smart" in that each has built-in lighting and graphic display systems that interface with the jukebox's controller.

The NGX, which is part of AMI's Rowe jukebox line, rolled out this spring with two Smart Skin style choices, the contemporary Rowe Nighthawk and traditional Rowe Nostalgia. The expanded line includes one more standard and three semicustom designs.

Rowe Gridiron, the standard, is styled for sports bars and other locations that attract football fans. Its default color is described as "the vibrant green of a football field," and other color options can be chosen.

The three semicustom wood skins incorporate backlighting to complement a location's decor and color scheme. Rowe Classic is available in dark walnut, dark mahogany and light "puritan pine" wood finishes. Rowe Country Club and Irish Pub are more ornate styles, each available in dark walnut and dark mahogany.

AMI also offers "full-custom" skins to operators with particular location requirements. A full-custom Smart Skin module can be produced in acrylic, vacuum-formed synthetic or wood. Rowe will furnish a price quotation upon request.

The wall-mountable NGX incorporates a 32" vertical flat-panel monitor and fully modular design, allowing quick access to and interchange of the component groups, including the core central processing unit, hard drive and Bang & Olufsen sound system without tools (they are secured in place by thumbscrews).

Like all AMI jukeboxes, the NGX provides access to the organization's vast music library. It can store as many as 300 complete albums locally and draw from more than 735,000 additional titles online from every major music label, hundreds of "indie" labels and local independent talent.
