WASHINGTON, DC -- (Posted June 10) The American Amusement Machine Association elected Frank Cosentino, Namco America, chairman during the association's annual board meeting at the Latham Hotel in Georgetown, MD. Cosentino succeeds Al Kress, Benchmark Games, who completed his two-year term. Also installed as new AAMA officers were David Capilouto, Greater Southern Distributing, as vice-chairman; Jon W. This afternoon, officials of the Amusement and Music Operators Association are joining AAMA to host a luncheon reception and equipment exhibit for U.S. Congress members and their staffers here at the Capitol, the first time such an industry event was held in the Capitol building. New video, pinball and other coin-op amusement devices, along with a Rowe/Ecast high-speed Internet jukebox system, will be on display. Betson Distributing provided the equipment. AAMA and AMOA officials and congressmen will be discussing several issues affecting the coin-op industry, including video game ratings and Internet gaming rules. Today, House representatives introduced legislation to create a commission to make recommendations as to how the States might regulate Internet gambling.
