keurig WATERBURY, VT -- The Keurig Kold Drinkmaker has been named a 2016 award finalist by Edison Awards. Inspired by Thomas Edison's legendary persistence and inventiveness, the awards recognize innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy.

Winners will be announced on April 21 at the Edison Awards Annual Gala, held in the historic Ballroom of the Capitale in New York City. The Keurig Kold is the first beverage system that allows consumers to freshly make a wide range of cold sparkling and still beverages, including Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper sodas, at home at the push of a button.

Edison Award nominees are judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation whose votes acknowledge the finalists' success in meeting the award's stringent criteria of quality.

The voting panel includes members of the Chief Marketing Officer Council, Design Management Institute, American Productivity & Quality Center, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Product Development and Management Association, along with past Edison Award winners, scientists, designers and engineers.

The Edison Awards program is conducted by Edison Universe, a charitable organization dedicated to fostering future innovators.
