LONDON -- Coca-Cola Life, with a third less sugar and calories than regular Coke, will go on sale in Britain in September. The drink was piloted in Argentina and Chile in 2013.

While Coke has not announced a U.S. debut date, Beverage Digest reported that the mid-calorie drink will hit the U.S. market this fall.

Naturally sweetened with sugar and stevia extract, Coca-Cola Life contains 89 calories, versus regular Coke's 140 calories, and sports a distinctive bright green can.

Coca-Cola Life is the first new Coca-Cola variation since Coke Zero was launched in 2006.
