TROY, MI -- Micromarket technology leader 365 Retail Markets is shipping its third-generation kiosk with more than 20 new features. Among the Gen3 features not available in previous models are bilingual capability, an enhanced user portal and SmartHQ beta reports, as well as an updated kiosk interface and email and SMS receipt options.
Gen3 is packaged in an all-new compact form factor. The manufacturer says the kiosk boasts a zero-maintenance design, which is equipped with a versatile credit card reader, recessed fingerprint scanner and the latest in 3D barcode scanning technology.
"Every aspect of our Gen3 kiosk was designed with both our operators and end-users in mind," 365 Retail said. "The new user portal and reporting functionalities give operators an in-depth look like never before into their customers and locations, and how they can optimize their micromarkets to better serve those who use them."
Gen3 allows end-user customers to seamlessly navigate the interface, better manage their accounts and make purchases with more payment methods. Many of the new features were suggested by vending operators, 365 said. Product director Ryan McWhirter highlights some of them in video below.
The Troy, MI, company has also unveiled a slimmer and faster SmartTablet, which is used to take inventory. The ultra-slim design is made possible by replacing the barcode scanner's standard USB port with a micro USB port. The new SmartTablet, which still comes with an Otterbase hand strap, is described at the MicroMarket Supply Store.
Separately, Michigan Celebrates Small Business named 365 Retail Markets one of 50 Michigan companies to watch.
