Dave & Buster's Reportedly Plans Major Rebranding

IRVING, TX -- Dave & Buster's is reportedly slated for a possible chainwide rebranding that could see many of its 57 locations taking on the look of a "retro-nightclub" -- complete with leather couches and chairs and DJs three nights a week. The D&B Sports bar also might get a facelift and giant TV screens to boot.

According the Westword blog, the first prototype of this rebranding is the D&B's store at 2000 So. Colorado Blvd. in Denver. | SEE PHOTOS

Blogger Jon Solomon said the redesign of the Denver store represents "the initial phase of the company's rebranding." However, D&B's management has not yet decided on a schedule for updating the rest of the chain, he reported

D&B's, privately owned since 2010 by a partnership between the operation's management and Oak Hill Capital Partners, operates in 24 states and Canada. In the past year, the company has added several executives from entertainment firms to its board. Jonathan Halkyard, chief financial officer of Caesars Entertainment Corp., and Kevin Sheehan, president of Norwegian Cruise Lines, joined D&B's six-person board in October. | SEE RELEASE

D&B's latest financial earnings report, for the quarter ended July 31, saw comparable sales at existing sites almost flat, with amusement revenues up 2.2% and food and beverage income down 1%. | SEE STORY
