CHICAGO -- Triton Industries Inc. reports that it has received AS 9100:C/ISO9001:2008 certification from Quality Systems Registrars, an internationally recognized independent auditor of industry regulations and aerospace management systems.
Triton, founded in 1961, manages entire projects from prototype design to specification, fabrication and testing at its centrally located production facility in Chicago. The company currently provides custom metal fabrication services to several industries, including vending, foodservice, gaming, medical, agricultural, security, transportation and oil and gas.
AS9100C certification is awarded following a review of management systems and operations. These certification standards, published by the Society of Automotive Engineers, define the requirements for the aerospace and defense industry. Triton is certified to ISO 9001:2008, and now AS 9100:C.
"Triton can take a component from prototype to production in a matter of days," said company president Brent Wortell. "We have an in-house staff of experienced engineers and fabricators whose dedication to a precision, quality product exceeds the expectations of our current clientele and brings satisfaction and reliability to our new partners."
Triton attained its certification on the first inspection, Wortell reported; there were no nonconformity issues, citations or exceptions. "We've expanded our staff of skilled metal workers and upgraded our equipment to include the Amada FOM-2 laser, which is one of the world's fastest cutting laser systems," he continued. "Everything we've done in the last year clearly demonstrates our commitment to growing and remaining competitive on a global scale."
Triton's certification information is available on the Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) system, managed by the International Aerospace Quality Group.
