TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Operators needing repairs for their aging skill crane machines manufactured by United Textile Fabricators and related lines have a new option. Scott Holland, a former technician at UTF and its predecessor, Grayhound Electronics Inc., has opened a shop to handle component repairs and parts replacements.
His repair facility, called Aslex LLC, is located here and is fully equipped to test and service all UTF Treasure Chest skill cranes, as well as models made by Talon and three-board systems by Grayhound. Toms River, NJ-based United, which recently shut down its manufacturing and sales operation, produced about a dozen different crane models under the "Treasure Chest" banner. Popular models include the Classic, Guan Shing (GS), YES and CLE.
Holland, who worked for United for 10 years, said he was asked by the former company's principals to continue offering product support, and that Aslex is the only factory-authorized repair shop. The crane tech has been involved in coin-op since the 1970s; his father, Bob Holland, was one of the founders of Grayhound.
Aslex LLC can be contacted at P.O. Box 3314, Toms River, NJ 08756-3314. Holland can be reached at (848) 480-6082 or email@example.com.
