INDIANAPOLIS -- The AMOA-National Dart Association said it will make several changes to its next Team Dart tournament, which takes place at Bally's Las Vegas from April 19 to 27. Changes will affect scheduling, round limits and criteria for master player ratings, NDA president Marcia Petersen, Vend Alaska (Anchorage), reported.
Singles 501 will now take place on the first Friday evening, April 19, of Team Dart 2013. Changing the event to Friday evening alleviates continuous hours of play for darters participating in multiple events during the front weekend, Peterson said. Singles 501 will begin at 7 p.m. with all levels playing to completion.
Additionally, on Sunday, April 21, Doubles 501 will begin at 8 a.m. and Singles Cricket at 6 p.m.
Cricket round limits for 2013 will return to their previous 25 rounds, a move supported by feedback from players. This change will help ensure that players receive the most value for their coin drop and that games will be played to completion.
Finally, the tournament's Open '01 master rating criteria will have new maximum scores for teams, doubles and singles.
The National Dart association is an international trade association of coin-operated vending companies representing approximately 300 members and 250,000 players worldwide.
