IBN Offers Cell Phone Content Through Irish Coke Venders

LONDON — The company that has created one of the most successful Internet jukebox and video game networks in the United Kingdom is now exploring the application of its technology to vending machines. Inspired Broadcast Networks, a division of Leisure Link, the UK’s largest provider of coin-operated amusement and music services, has inked a deal with Coca-Cola in Ireland to test a digital vending concept that delivers a variety of content from the vending machine to the patron’s cell phone.

IAAPA’s 2005 Show Draws 22K Visitors; Eastern European Attendance Doubles

ATLANTA — The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions estimates that some 22,000 visitors from 77 countries attended the annual Attractions Expo, held Nov. 16 through 19 at the Georgia World Congress Center here. Final audited figures were not available at press time, but exhibitors reported attendance from serious buyers, particularly on the second day.
