Prior to joining Spindle, he served as vice-president of strategic partnerships for Bank of America Merchant Services, with a focus on defining mobile point of sale and unattended industry strategies. In addition to his work at BAMS, Voigt has held executive positions at several national companies, including First Data and Chase Paymentech.
Tharpe most recently served as vice-president of strategic partnerships at Bank of America Merchant Services, where he worked to establish BAMS's mobile wallet, third-party payment gateway, professional sports acquiring and mobile payments strategies. His two-decade career in the payments industry included helping build platforms for Official Payments Corp., TrustCommerce and Global Payments.
"We're delighted to bring these well-respected and highly-regarded executives onto our team," said Spindle president Bill Clark. "Their skills and market savvy will significantly contribute to our strategy to position Spindle as a ubiquitous provider of mobile payments solutions. We look forward to accelerating the growth of our 'frictionless finance' paradigm through their contributions."
In January, Spindle Inc. acquired Spindle Mobile, a developer and distributor of transactional technologies. It assumed development and distribution of all Spindle Mobile solutions, which include the RhinoPay platform.
