WASHINGTON -- The Electronic Transactions Association and the organizers of the annual Mobile Contactless Payment Innovations (MCPI) conference have partnered to launch Mobile Payment Innovations. The one-day conference, set for April 30, will be held in conjunction with ETA's annual meeting and exposition, taking place April 30 through May 2 in New Orleans.
Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 will offer discussions and presentations on business opportunities created by mobile payments. Speakers from the nation's leading payments and technology companies and merchants will examine trends in mobile payment processing and the factors that drive transactions.
In addition to Mobile Payment Innovations 2013, the three-day exposition at the New Orleans Convention Center will introduce the Mobile Pay Zone, a section of the exhibit floor dedicated to mobile-based businesses.
"Mobile payments is the next big thing in the field of electronic transactions, and we're excited to work with MCPI to host in-depth discussions on the future of this dynamic industry," said ETA chief executive Jason Oxman. "As the trade association of the entire payments industry, ETA is the hub of activity in next-generation payments technology, bringing together card networks, processors, acquirers, ISOs, and mobile and technology companies."
ETA's annual trade show and conference will host 200 exhibitors and dozens of conference sessions. It is expected to draw more than 3,000 people.
