Designed to keep AMAF members up to date on current hot topics, the event will feature a review of the new Department of Transportation regulations concerning cellphone use by drivers of commercial motor vehicles, an update on the new Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for facilities access, and an overview of the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Fit Pick program that identifies vendible product products conforming to nationally recognized nutritional standards and enable operators to publicize and promote them.
These will be presented by Sheree Edwards and Mary Lou Monaghan, who are, respectively, NAMA's regional legislative director and government affairs senior manager.
Another highlight of the Florida symposium will be a presentation by Brad Bachtelle, Bachtelle & Associates (Tustin, CA), called "Creating Vending Company Value." Bachtelle is a 30-year industry veteran of vending/OCS operations and product distribution.
