VISTA, CA -- Glacier Water Services Inc., based here, has agreed to buy Aqua Fill's water vending business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Aqua Fill (Oceanside, CA) operates more than 1,600 pure drinking water and ice vending machines mainly located in the western U.S. Following the acquisition, Glacier will operate more than 23,000 machines in 46 states throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Glacier chief executive Brian McInerney said the company expects to close the transaction by the end of October.
For the second quarter, ended July 1, the company reported a 6.4% increase in revenues to $27.967 million, compared with $26.28 million for the same quarter one year ago.
