PASADENA, CA -- The California Automatic Vendors Council's board of directors will hold its first board meeting of the new year on Jan. 22. It's set for the Embassy Suites Ontario - Airport, where the meeting will convene at 9 a.m., followed by lunch.
According to Deborah Lara, manager of the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Western office, the meeting will feature an update by CAVC's legislative consultant on the upcoming California legislative session and discussion of the council's proposal to eliminate taxes paid on snacks and other food and beverage items sold through vending machines. And CAVC president Larry Atnip, Atnip Co. (Fullerton), will offer an overview of the council's revised strategic plan.
