SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- A new partnership will bundle Spindle Inc.'s mobile commerce platform with point-of-sale solutions distributed by Integrated Payments, enabling merchants to accept mobile payments at their locations.
Integrated Payments, based in Austin, TX, distributes POS technology to a network of independent sales organizations and resellers. As part of the new relationship, Spindle has become a preferred provider of mobile commerce technologies to Integrated Payments.
ZingCheckout Inc., also based in Austin, will be the first Integrated Payments partner to accept Spindle-enabled mobile payment transactions at the point of sale.
ZingCheckout provides Web-based (SaaS) retail software. Its POS technology can be used on all major Microsoft Windows or Apple OS X platforms, delivering to merchants a scalable, mobile POS solution, including full support for Apple's iPad.
Through its partnership with Spindle, ZingCheckout will be able to incorporate mobile POS services into its product portfolio so merchants can accept transactions on mobile tablets and smartphones.
Spindle president Bill Clark said that while many point-of-sale providers have mobile wallet technologies in use, very few have an application that works directly within their existing POS infrastructure. Spindle's partnership with Integrated Payments and ZingCheckout allows just that.
"We're impressed with the functionality that Spindle's solution delivers, which is paving the way for consumers to use their mobile phones as an electronic wallet by creating the platform for frictionless payment acceptance," said Keri Golden, president of Integrated Payments.
