WEST CHESTER, PA -- MEI has released the latest version of its popular Easitrax vending management software suite. Easitrax Core Version 3.15 includes a number of improvements and new features across the whole product, from its handheld computer integration to its backend processing functions.
Especially noteworthy in the new version are an improved user interface, wider integration with supporting platforms and streamlined audit data handling. Among key features are product and column summarization; provision for automatically populating the Easitrax Cash Meter from DEX, and support for Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 available in native mode.
The upgraded user interface offers product and column selections, i.e. drivers can choose to fill and service a machine by either selection. According to MEI, this saves time at the machine because fewer data points need to be entered; the saving in time will be most pronounced for glassfront packaged cold beverage machines.
The dispatching screen now can filter service calls by the mechanic when the multi-warehouse feature is enabled. MEI points out that this option makes it easy to associate a call with a mechanic and warehouse, improving customer service by improving field visibility.
The new Easitrax version also accommodates multilingual invoicing. An Easitrax customer can request to receive invoices in French or Spanish, as well as in English.
Among improvements providing wider integration with other platforms are support for the Intermec CN-50 handheld computer, Motorola MC75a enterprise digital assistant and Janam XM66 Windows mobile device, and for the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.x operating system.
Enhanced audit control is provided by auto-population of the Cash Meter from DEX, which saves drivers additional time at the machine while reducing keying errors that can degrade cash accountability. Increased handheld capabilities also are supported; drivers can create route orders directly on their handheld computers, and operators can set permissions, by employee record, to require a password to set route orders or to prohibit them.
"MEI's product development team continually listens to our user community and has responded with this major Easitrax Core software release," said Easitrax product manager Don Finely. "We encourage customers to continue to engage with us about their field experiences through our professional services team, user group community, sales team, social media and the Web so that we can continue to provide timely and relevant product upgrades."
