WASHINGTON -- Vagabond Vending announced the beta release of its 2.0 Web interface for its mobile vending operations toolset. According to the company, the introduction of the Web components offers full-featured vending operations management for larger customers.
The new Vagabond 2.0 Web interface is designed to provide a complete solution for operators managing from 1 to 2,500 machines. Features added to the new version include multiple route organization, the ability to pack for many machines at once and faster route mapping. Exporting and printing of pick lists and reports also have been upgraded.
New in the Vagabond Web product is a visually appealing "dashboard" that presents a snapshot of the business's financial and operational status. The operator can instantly view the most and least efficient products, the best- and worst-netting machines, route performance trends and other metrics providing comprehensive visibility of the operation's performance. The dashboard also offers a view of how other operators are doing, and which products are selling most efficiently across all users.
"Our goal for the new 2.0 Web interface is to give managers access to the data and information that encourages them to make decisions that increase revenue and reduce cost," said Vagabond president Juan Jorquera.
Vagabond has invested in product development since its initial release. Michael Lovett, chairman of Vagabond Vending's parent company DTG Holdings, explained that "Vagabond's 2.0 release marks our entry into the market for larger operators. In an industry dominated by traditional operators, too many drivers are carrying too much inventory blindly around their territories. Vagabond offers a solution to those who want to reduce the cost and pain associated with operating routes.
"If your vending business is not operating at net incomes of 12% to 15%, you're leaving money on the table," Lovett said.
Vagabond’s cloud-based vending management software is currently available for devices running under Apple's iOS operating system, including the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad, and for smartphones and tablets running under Google’s Android operating system.
