KEARNEYSVILLE, WV -- Automated Merchandising Systems is launching a new look for its current vending machine lineup. The Epoch series includes all the popular AMS venders with updated styling and some new features.

Epoch styling is highlighted by a redesigned escutcheon, slightly contoured and finished in silver-gray. A point-of-sale card frame enables operators to display information (such as company name) and to post promotional materials.

The keys on the backlit all-numeric selector pad are black with white numerals, and each key is ringed with white ("white on black on white") for enhanced legibility. The brighter edging around the hopper and coin return further enhance the new look. "With our new easy-to-read keypad, customers will have a much easier time making purchases," said AMS president Sharon Shull.

Among AMS lines now available with the Epoch feature set is AD-One, a series of vending machines that complies with the recently revised Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. At this writing, the only noncompliant Epoch models are the vandal-resistant Outsider and the WideGem and SlimGem un-insulated machines. All others have hoppers within the specified ADA height range, but still can accommodate six trays.

Again with the exception of the small-footprint SlimGem, AMS machines are available in 35" and 39" widths, and are 72" high x 35" deep. SlimGem is only 28.5" wide and 29.5" deep.

AMS Northeast regional sales manager Mike Butler explained that the Epoch line is engineered to save money. "It's still an economical solution for vending operators," he said. "For example, AMS continues to provide a three-year warranty on most electronic parts."

Additional information about the new AMS Epoch Series may be had from the manufacturer by calling (304) 725-6921.
