Megatouch Live Gets Turbo Boost And New Games; Gameplay Optimization Decreases Player Wait Times

Source: AMI Entertainment Network | Released November 29, 2012
(11/29/2012)

BRISTOL, PA, November 29, 2012 -- AMI Entertainment's Megatouch Games Division has made several exciting improvements to the industry's most innovative multi-touch software platform, Megatouch Live. With several system optimizations, new idle mode videos, seven new hit games from the 2013 Ion legacy release, and 6 additional Classic titles, Megatouch Live runs faster than ever and now offers nearly 100 games to players.

Megatouch Live, which boasts automatic downloadable game updates and a host of operator features, is now optimized to run faster than it ever has before. Game effects, player menus, and game launch time noticeably load more quickly, dramatically decreasing a player's wait time.

"We've given Megatouch Live a turbo boost," states Bill Layne, Megatouch Games Division's director of products and marketing. "When operators began telling us that game load time was slow, we dedicated the resources to making the Megatouch Live experience as sleek as possible."

The Megatouch software development team brought their years of experience to bear on this software update and optimized the system, which lead to significant changes in load times and also brought HD graphics to 23 game titles. "We took our most recent build to the IAAPA show in Orlando and were very happy to hear customers noticed the change in speed and were impressed with the improvements we made," added Layne.

Additionally, to attract players and introduce new Megatouch Live features, Megatouch has created new eye-catching videos that run when the machine is in idle mode. These short videos offer clear, to-the-point messaging that educates players on all that Megatouch Live offers and entices players to engage the machine.

On the games front, Megatouch Live has added seven titles from the most recent Ion release. Monkey Bash World Tour, Grimm Fairy Tales Photo Hunt and Monster Madness Chaos bring a built-in fan base to the ML-1 with their familiar and beloved gameplay. Pit Crew Pair 'Em and Mystical Strike, with its new mode of play, challenge a player's quickness and mental dexterity, while Flick City Sluggers and Flick City Rollers keep high score chasers coming back to claim the top spot. These titles each contain the 10 unique Challenges and 3 Power-Ups that are the hallmark of all Megatouch Live games.

For Tournamaxx fans, the original versions of these new games, except for Grimm Fairy Tales Photo Hunt, Mystical Strike, and Monkey Bash World Tour, have been added to Megatouch Classic games category. Mystical Strike and Monkey Bash World Tour will be added soon. Players can practice for tournaments with the same version they will encounter in a Tournamaxx event. Additionally, Boxxi 2 and Super Run 21 have been added to the Megatouch Classic category. All of these games offer players a chance to enjoy their favorite games with original graphics and gameplay from the Megatouch legacy product line.

The Megatouch Live system includes several Megatouch classic titles like TriTowers, Lucky 11's, and Photo Hunt as well as newer hits like Luxor 3 and Little Shop Road Trip in advanced 3D and HD graphics. Since its debut last year, over 60 games have been added. Megatouch Live also offers Battle Arena games, where players compete shoulder-to-shoulder on the same screen, at the same time.
