ROLLING MEADOWS, IL -- Video Gaming Technologies Inc. said it will begin installing its VEGA$ Jackpot$ product line in assorted locations across Illinois, now that the machine been approved by the Illinois Gaming Board for the state's video gaming terminal market.
Chief executive Jon Yarbrough said the device features an innovative platform that resulted from extensive R&D.
State approval for VEGA$ Jackpot$ is based on a favorable report from Gaming Laboratories, Inc., which IGB has contracted to ensure that each approved gaming product complies with all applicable regulations.
The approval for VEGA$ Jackpot$ comes one year after VGT received its manufacturing license from IGB for the VLT sector, as earlier reported by Vending Times.
At presstime, Illinois' VLT sector was undergoing a multi-week technology test in seven or more locations, prior to a possible mid- or late-October statewide launch.
VGT has been manufacturing products for Class II and emerging gaming markets since 1991.
