Chuck E. Cheese's Augmented Reality App Named Mobile Excellence Award Finalist

DALLAS -- The pizza-arcade chain's first-ever downloadable app allows users to take fun photos with an animated version of Chuck E. Cheese. Called "Chuck E.'s Say Cheese," the augmented reality app was recognized as a Mobile Excellence Awards finalist in the Best Entertainment Related Marketing Campaign category.

The app also incorporates sharing functionality for users to post the snapshots to Facebook and Twitter or send them to friends through email. It can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, Google Play or at chuckecheese.com/saycheese from a mobile device and used in participating Chuck E. Cheese's locations.

Mobile Excellence Award finalists were scored upon the strategic objectives and impact of their technology, along with their creativity, ease of use and reach, execution and proven market success. The winners were announced in October.
