BROOKLYN PARK, MN -- The Minnesota Operators of Music and Amusements will host its 2012 Summer Conference at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge in scenic Deerwood on June 6 and 7.
A lively round of business meetings and social events is on tap for registrants. The business agenda gets off to an early start on Wednesday, June 6, with a meeting on dart operations at 8:30 a.m. and another on billiards at 10 a.m. After an early lunch at 11:30 a.m., participants may choose between golf and a pontoon fishing contest, both kicking off at 1 p.m. A President's Reception is slated for 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
On Thursday, June 7, registrants will gather for breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by a legislative update at 9 a.m. and the annual membership meeting at 10 a.m. A board meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. The conference will wrap up with lunch at noon.
MOMA executive director Chuck Leininger observed that operators who have not yet attended a conference at Ruttger's are in for "a very pleasant experience" in attractive surroundings with great food. MOMA has negotiated a rate of $169 for single and $137 per person for double accommodations; these rates include all meals and sales tax.
Information may be had from Leininger by calling (612) 363-2894, or emailing to chuckleininger@hotmail.com. Registration forms may be downloaded from the group's website, moma-ops.org (click on "Events").
