Steve Henderson, Founder Of NC's Operators Distributing, Dies At 71

LEXINGTON, NC -- Steve Henderson, founder and owner of Operators Distributing Inc. (Archdale, NC), died on July 6 at North Carolina's Hinkle Hospice Home here. He was 71.

Henderson founded Operators Distributing in 1985. The business, which was created to serve street operations, is among the country's few small surviving equipment dealerships. It represents major amusement and jukebox lines, and is an authorized TouchTunes service center.

Henderson was born on Nov. 22, 1941, in York County, SC, and in 1962 he married Mary Allen, who survives him. He also is survived by daughters Amy Leach, Shelly Penland and Patty Brasswell, along with six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Gina Douglas.
