CINCINNATI -- The new Innovation & Research Center at AdvancePierre Foods brings research and development food labs and test kitchens to customers, enabling them to play a role in product development.
Collocated with AdvancePierre's Cincinnati processing facility, the Innovation and Research Center allows its R&D team members and customers to work in parallel by providing dedicated spaces for conceiving and refining ideas. Spaces are also provided for food preparation, ensuring raw ingredients are isolated from ready-to-eat products, and for product testing.
The center houses sandwich, bakery, processing and meat labs, along with walk-in pantries, coolers and freezers, as well as meeting rooms. The space incorporates a sensory lab in which internal screened testers evaluate products to ensure foods deliver the desired taste and eating experience.
The facility provides equipment from home and commercial microwave ovens and steam-heating ovens to turbo chef-style ovens, convection ovens, grills and fryers to closely mirror how customers and consumers prepare products.
"The new, interactive space complements AdvancePierre's integrated product development process, facilitating enhanced cooperation between R&D, consumer insights, marketing and sales, all the while engaging customers at the most critical.
