HOUMA, LA -- M&M Sales Co., a Canteen franchise with locations in Lafayette, Houma and Lake Charles, LA, plans to achieve 100% wireless connectivity and cashless payment capabilities in its 4,000 vending machines by 2020.

The company has signed a five-year agreement with Malvern, PA-based USA Technologies Inc. to equip all vending and single-cup coffee machines -- which have not yet been upgraded -- with USAT's ePort cashless payment and M2M telemetry suite. M&M will also use USAT as the payments processor for its micromarket accounts.

When the upgrade is completed, all of M&M's vending equipment will be able to accept credit, debit and mobile payments, which include NFC systems from Apple, Google and Samsung, among others. USAT's ePort mobile and online solutions will integrate payments, loyalty programs and consumer experience enhancements across all of the company's business segments.

The five-year exclusive agreement also provides for joint marketing initiatives designed to elevate the awareness of M&M in its region and to promote its cashless capabilities.

M&M Sales Co. is a 40-year-old third-generation family business. It operates 25 full-line vending and office coffee routes. "Today's customers prefer to pay with their cards or mobile wallets, and we believe USAT's end-to-end solution will not only enhance the consumer experience, but improve our economics," said M&M Sales Co. president Chuck McMath.
