Mondelez Formulates Honey Maid Lil' Squares To Meet 30/10/35 Standard

Nabisco Honey Maid Lil' Squares, Nabisco EAST HANOVER, NJ -- New from Mondelez International is Nabisco Honey Maid Lil' Squares, a bite-size graham cracker snack made with honey and whole grain and packaged in 1.06-oz. (30g.) bags.

Lil' Squares contain 10g. of whole grain, 2g. of fiber and 2g. of protein per 30g. serving, they have only 3g. of fat, 0g. of saturated fat and no high-fructose corn syrup. According to Mondelez, they are "squarely in line" with 30/10/35 K-12 guidelines.

The portion is sized to meet one "grain" requirement. "Nutritionists recommend eating three or more servings of whole grain foods per day (about 16g. whole grain per serving or at least 48g. per day)," the company observed.

Lil' Squares are kosher (Circle-U dairy) and shipped 72 bags per case.

Mondelez International comprises the global snack and food brands of the former Kraft Foods Inc. It was formed following the spinoff of the North American grocery operations late last year, and has operations in more than 80 countries.
