Apple's Pix Place Photo Kiosk Contends For AMOA Innovator Award

GREENVALE, NY -- Apple Industries reports that its new Pix Place networked photo kiosk has been chosen as a finalist from the nominees for the Amusement and Music Operators Association's Innovator Award. AMOA will announce the winner at the upcoming Amusement Expo in Las Vegas.

Pix Place is styled like a contemporary smartphone, featuring a metallic white cabinet. It is designed for connection to the Internet, and runs brand-new Apple software that invites patrons to take pictures of themselves, then immediately email or post them to social networks like Facebook.

An embedded merchandising routine also enables the customer to move a free photo displayed on the monitor into a familiar shopping cart in order to purchase hardcopy prints.

Pix Place will be on display in the Apple Industries booth No. 719 at the Amusement Expo from March 1 through 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
