PHILADELPHIA -- Aramark has created some out-of-the box breakfast-delivery options to accommodate students' busy schedules and hectic morning routines.

The contract foodservice giant offers breakfast carts in high-traffic areas in some schools, enabling students to grab a nutritious breakfast on the way to their first class. Another option is "breakfast in the classroom," which delivers nutritious breakfasts to students right at their desks. Students can also opt for hot and cold meals in grab-and-go breakfast bags in the cafeteria.

Over the past several years, Aramark said it has seen a marked increase in the number of school districts successfully implementing breakfast carts and breakfast in the classroom programs.

The Chicago Public School district, for example, has increased the number of breakfast carts in high schools across the city. At Lindblom Math and Science Academy High School, the number of students participating in the breakfast program increased more than 300% in just three months since breakfast carts were added.
